Conduct of the circuit

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes (93 + 138 kms)


Departure to Rabat and visit of the administrative capital of Morocco:

Royal Palace (outside).

Chellah, Kasbah of Oudaïas.

Hassan tower and mausoleum of Mohamed V.

Visit to the Archaeological Museum.

Prelude to the visit of Volubilis.

In the afternoon, departure for Meknes.

Night in Meknès.

Day 2: Meknes – Fes (60 kms)


In the morning, road for Volubilis, ancient Roman town to the remains perfectly preserved.

Continuation on the holy city of Moulay Idriss, perched on a rocky promontory.

Visit of Meknes

Bab el Khémis.

Place El Hédim.

Door Bab Mansour.

Mausoleum of Moulay Ismaïl.

Vestiges of the granaries.

Departure for Fez.

Night in Fez.

Day 3: Fez


Day dedicated to the religious capital of Morocco.

Night in Fez

Day 4: Fez – Er Rachidia – Erfoud – Merzouga (460 kms)

mouhou-032Step through the Middle Atlas via the climate station of Ifrane (1 650 m), the Berber village of Azrou, Midelt, then passing through the gorges of the ZIZ before the arrival to Er Rachidia.

Continuation to Erfoud along the valley of the ZIZ.

Continuation toward Merzouga.

Night to Merzouga.

Day 5: Merzouga

Day 6: Merzouga – Tinerhir (180 kms)

Day 7: Tinerhir – the valley of the Dades – Ouarzazate (170 kms)

Day 8: Ouarzazate – the Draa Valley  – Ouarzazate (300 kms)


Tour of the day in the beautiful valley of the Draa.

The road to the Cliffs very impressive passes by Agdz.

Then you skirt of the Palm Groves among the most beautiful of Morocco, and you can admire the many ksour up to Zagora.

Then transition to Tamgroute with its Koranic Library (possibility of the visit).

Return and night in Ouarzazate.

Day 9: Ouarzazate – Marrakech (204 kms)


Route via the Col of Tichka to Marrakech, Berber capital of the South.

To the arrival, early visits of the city founded in the 11th s. by the Almoravides:

Koutoubia Mosque.

Place Djemaa el Fna Square.



Day 10: Marrakech

In the morning, the end of the visits of Marrakech:

Palace of the Bahia.

Private Museum of Marrakech.

Saadian tombs.

Ben Youssef Medersa.

Lunch and afternoon free.

Possibility of carriage rides (2007 rate: Approx. 200 Dirhams the 2 hours), souks, Majorelle garden, museum Dar If Saïd, Palais El Badi.


Day 11: Marrakech – Essaouira (171 kms)

Lunch in Essaouira. (former Mogador).

Afternoon visit of the port, the beautiful Portuguese fortifications and the Sqala The Kasbah (old battery where are grouped today the workshops of marquetry).

Night in Essaouira.

Day 12: Essaouira – Safi – El Jadida – Casablanca (360 kms)

Departure toward Casablanca.

Stop at Safi, important Moroccan port since the xiith century, visit to the neighborhood of the potters.

El Jadida, other city formerly Portuguese (visit of its tank and its ramparts.)

Continuation toward Casablanca.

Departure and return in your country.
